Not So Cute Stuff

I am captivated by mundane, everyday objects and clutter. I am not sure what it is, but the clustering of themed items together really lights my braincells. Pair that with a cute pattern or two, and it's a lit party. Included here is the "Crayon Art" series that exaggerates adolescence through the loli trope. Actually, all the images here kind of do that. 

Maybe one day I'll feel comfortable talking about the meanings of these paintings/ drawings. That is why the "28 years of Sketchbooks" project is so important, it adds to the meaning and drive behind this body of work.
